Daddy decided not to try to single-handedly lift United Airlines out of bankruptcy by flying the family to Kauai on vacation, instead focusing on beaches and theme parks we could drive to. Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and Seaworld made the short list. We've seen them all before, but it had been a couple of years. Daddy especially wanted to ride the roller coasters at Knott's. Kathy can't pass through southern California without seeing Disneyland. The kids are relatively easily entertained, as long as they can use their game boys on the long drive.
You can't drive between LA and San Diego without stopping at the Rip Curl store in San Clemente...
