Monday morning we slept in. Dusty eventually found milk, croissant, and cereal for breakfast. We went to the rocky beach on the other side of the harbor wall and spent a few hours swimming and lying in the sun before returning to our rooms for a siesta, then had a completely forgettable dinner - we picked a different restaurant, and we picked poorly.  That was a busy day.

 We noticed a sign in the lobby for the Rick Steve’s 11 Day Best of Paris and Provence tour – they were spending 3 nights in our hotel, leaving a day before us. They spent Monday touring Nice, then Tuesday doing whatever they liked – Monaco by bus, Cap Ferrat, or beach time.




Hordes of tourists leave the comfy safe confines of the Disney cruise ship and enter the comfy safe confines of a tour bus.
This did not look like fun.
Fortunately for us most of the tourists spent no time at all in Villefranche-sur-Mer itself.
