Wednesday was our last day in France. We weren’t exactly looking forward to a 24 hour day of flying to get home Thursday, and weren’t exactly feeling the need to ever leave the Riviera. We slept in again and then wandered the town to try to find souvenirs and lunch. Villefranche-sur-mer is too untouristy to have many souvenirs, which is great; until you try want souvenirs.  We then spent the afternoon at the ‘sand’ beach past old town. We even managed to find a little shade under a tree later in the afternoon. It was another rough day at the beach. We returned again to Les Palmiers, telling our waiter with much regret that it was our last night. He quickly brought us drinks on the house – coke for the kids, rose for Kathy, and a monster beer for Dusty.
