Tuesday
morning the women did laundry, grandpa and the kids went swimming, and
Dusty booked rooms at the La Quinta in Kalispell. I
considered trying to see the sights in Butte, but decided not to
bother. Butte features the Berkeley Pit - the remnants of a
huge open pit mine, as well as numerous other mining related sites.
I decided I didn't need to spend $2 to see an ugly manmade hole
in the ground. We then drove to Kalispell, stopping for lunch in
Missoula. Unforgivably I forgot to stop by Big Sky Brewing. That night we had dinner at Barley's Brewhouse, which
didn't brew beer but was nonetheless a good restaurant.
