Do not stay at the Timberline Lodge if you want to enjoy a quiet night's rest, cause you surely won't find it there.
A very loud wedding party ensured that everyone got to enjoy their
festivities late into the evening, and the thinest walls imaginable
ensure that everyone got to hear every single word from every room
around us.
Very not cool.
Tripadvisor has dire warnings that are similar to this, you have been warned, do no underestimate how loud your room will be.
also Saturday morning.....
The last 2 nights at the Many Glacier, we heard an endless rustling of plastic grocery bags coming from the
next room at all hours of the day and night.
Apparenty if you are too lame to make your own reservations or plans to
visit Glacier, these clowns will sell you a place on their adventure
tour.
These clowns will even feed you your snacks for the hike, since clearly
you're too lame to figure out what to eat on your own.
I let the front desk know they were hosting a strange grocery party in
the hall in the early morning hours.
One of the front desk staff asked the bellman 'don't we have quiet
hours?'
The bellman deadpanned 'yes, they ended at 6am' (it was now 6:20am)
She then asked the bellman 'isn't that really strange?'
The bellman again deadpanned 'oh, I've seen all kinds of strange things
here'.
I was throroughly entertained, the bellman was a riot.
So I bit... what was the strangest thing he'd ever seen here?
The bellman quickly replied 'That would be the mother who sprayed bear
spray on her kids out back by the lake'.
I was shocked anyone could be so stupid - the bear spray containers all
tell you that you should never spray the substance on a person.
I asked what ended up happening to the kids?
'Oh, I'm pretty sure they had to be taken away in an ambulence'.
