Today I need to
drive to Innsbruck,
drop off the backpack at the hotel,
turn in the rental car at the airport,
ride away from the airport on the rental bike,
turn in the bike in south Innsbruck,
and walk back to the hotel..
I considered driving over to the Sassolungo "coffin lift" on the way
home but decide against it.
I had a fair amount of driving and logistics, I didn't need to make
things more complicated than necessary.

So the I was able to

But when I got to the bike rental place it said come back at 5pm.
So I was stuck in Innsbruck on a warm summer day with a bike.
There are worse fates!

Hotel Sailer
relatively cheap, centrally located, and has AC.
ALWAYS get AC if you're not in the mountains :)
Finally I was allowed to check into my room.

Dropped off the bike and walked back to the hotel.
It looked like rain but it never rained on me...
I decided to try dinner out front of the Stiegle Brau brewery

Dusty: So i get back from my 2nd dinner (kebab box) and there's a tour
bus outside the hotel..
Dusty: with 1 tour guide, maybe 30+ tourists in the lobby with their
luggage, so crowded i can barely walk through it, and one hotel staff
member checking in each party 1 at a time, a process that looks like it
will take the better part of an hour...
Dusty: please shoot me if I ever get near a tour bus (Rick Steves tours
excepted, someday that may be all I can handle)
Dusty: What a shitshow
Dusty: clearly low budget poorly run....they also got in so late I'm
not sure where they're going to eat...
