Dusty: Arrived Oberwald
Dusty: 3-1/2 h by 5 trains and a gondola, but I think only around 35
kilometers the way the crow flies from Muerren..
Dusty: Bike rental dude here completely forgot my reservation until i
showed him the email on my iPhone
Dusty: He has a road bike - an older heavier 18 speed road bike ...
Dusty: no problemo
Dusty: Hotel Alpenhof room is large but very dated, a bit worn (not
awful) but seems to have no heating or ac at all...
Dusty: There's a thermostat on the wall, you can set it, but it always
resets to the current temperature and does nothing else i can see
[Turned out the floor was heated]
Dusty: there is an extra blanket...
Dusty: Windy and chilly here, cold air falling off the mountains on
us...
Dusty: supposed to be nicer the next couple of days....
Dusty: I think that is Dom down the Rhone valley in that pic..
[It later turned out the prominant peak was Weisshorn with
ZinalRothorn to the left, I had to use Peakvisor]

Kent: I stayed in an old hotel (1600's) in Munster in 2000
Kent: Very near you Dusty
Kent: Was the most peaceful place I've ever been
Kent: One of the best stakes too after my long hike in the rain
Kent: Showed up almost too late but they squeezed me in to a
table with people already
Kent: Was hard to communicate because much less English there
Kent: I doubt weisshorn, unless I missed something
Kent: It's always got a lot of snow on the top
