Michael was good enough to pick me up at the airport Friday night AND drive me to the airport to pick up my rental car Monday morning so I wouldn't have to pay for an otherwise unused rental car all weekend...

Enterprise offered my choice of 5 domestic vehicles and a Hyundai Kona, so of course I took the only import.
I installed the E-Z Pass I fought so hard to purchase and get working last year and away I went...

The Kona was pretty awesome, and I quickly got used to carplay.
The only problems I had with the Kona were
- the speedometer was on the left side of the dashboard, which is wrong for North America, and
- the drink holders were absurdly small, which is also way wrong for North America.

I had originally planned to see Ticonderoga again on Monday, but I learned it is closed Mondays...
This lead me to add Boston to the trip - I had only been to Boston once over 30 years ago for Mike and Joanne's reception.
The only reasonable hotel I could find near the MBTA line was a Howard Johnson in Quincy.

I then learned of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and decided to add it to the trip.
Dificulty - the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is closed Tuesdays, and my full day in Boston was Tuesday.
I'd need to see it Monday on the way to the hotel...

Driving through Vermont and New Hampshire was uneventful.
It cost $1 in tools to get to Boston.
Driving in Boston was worse than expected.
Traffic was incredibly slow, I missed a few turns even with google, and I circled the Museum of Fine Arts before eventually being pointed by a human being to the garage for the Museum of Fine Arts.

I asked at the information desk where to find the Renoirs - it was a good thing I did.
The first Renoir is in a downstairs hallway with other art; you'd likely miss it unless you asked where all the Renoirs are....
The other three are together in the Art of Europe hallway.

I ended up making at least two more trips down to the information booth asking where to find certain artist's work...

My haul:
4 Renoir
2 Signac
17 Monet
4 Manet
6 van Gogh
1 Munch
2 Rodin
6 Rembrandt plus several etchings
1 Donatello
1
Botticelli
3 van Dyck
3 Rubens
some Dali

After the Museum of Fine Arts, google and carplay got me through downtown Boston to the Howard Johnsons in Quincy.
Crazist driving I've done outside of Italy.

The HoJo is one kilometer from the Red line Wollaston station - about a 10 minute walk.

red line north from wollaston to downtown crossing boston
watching every single person sitting on this train hunched over their phones completely tuned out of real life
a they live distopian nightmare where social media controls the human mind and race
bowies prophetized alien life form

About 20 minutes later I was in Downtown Crossing.
Another 10 very dazed and disoriented minutes later among the skyscrapers I found Boston Common.
For some reason I had envisioned Boston Common without homeless people, it wasn't as picturesque as I had hoped.
I moved on...

17:48

The edge of Boston Common, where I am not taking pictures of homeless people...
I started my Freedom Trail, a tourist amoung the mob of commuters...

17:50

Granary Burying Ground.

17:55

King's Chapel

17:59

Old State House

18:02

Faneuil Hall

18:16

Paul Revere's house, closed.

...and I was done now.
Long day, tired of walking, done.
And hungry.
Oh look, just to the left of Paul Revere's house is Ristorante Limoncello.
What's TripAdvisor got to say about Ristorante Limoncello?
4.4?
Done...

18:42

I was extremely pleased with my Fish Francaise...
