We then went to hike along the Niagara River to the Whirlpool.
Swimming in the Niagara River is forbidden because drowning is very
easy.
We watched this crew jump in the river at a reasonable safe spot,
considering.
The back currents pushed them upstream.

Maybe 20 minutes after we saw the swimmers a very pissed off State
Trooper asked us if we'd seen anyone swimming.
I said "maybe"
I actually had them on video but I sure as hell wasn't narcing them out
to the wo-man.
