Friday was a very busy day.
First I walked to drop off our laundry, then I went to St Paul's Cathedral, which everyone else had seen Tuesday afternoon.
St Paul's was as lame as Westminster Abbey was awesome - St Paul's is completely skippable.
The view from the top was nice, and I was glad to have seen that on a sunny day.
The filthy air to the west was disturbing, especially considering it had been raining just two days prior.

I then took the Tube to the Imperial War Museum

Peace Agreement sign by Chamberlain and Hitler.
This was a followon to the Munich Agreement that had been signed a few hours before that gave Czechoslovakia to the Nazis.
This was the first thing I saw in the World War II floor, the first floor I explored in the museum.
Seeing this piece of paper was both awe inspiring and depressing.

While researching this piece of paper I learned much more about the rise of Nazi Germany than I had ever known....all fascinating....

The bomber was only a little over six feet wide!
It was barely wider than my arms could reach...

The World War II floor was depressing enough, I didn't have the heart to see any more of the war museum.
The Holocaust floor is supposed be a great exhibit but I intentially skipped it.

I then took the bus to retrieve our laundry, dropped it off back at the Lime Tree, then took another bus to Speaker's Corner where I met up with Kathy, Karin and Bob.
We wandered through Hyde Park, eventually reaching Kensington Palace

We then took a bus back to Victoria Station during rush hour through the pricey section of London

Later we all went out for one last drink in London
Everyone else had early flights home the next morning.
Kathy and I had an 11am flight to Amsterdam...
