Tuesday morning we checked out of the Rawhide, went grocery shopping, and drove up to Colter Bay

I was pleasantly surprised to find one of my favorite beers at the liquor store - St Lupulin

We arrived at Colter Bay too early to check in.  We didn't have too much ambition, so we just waited around for our cabins to get cleaned

While we were waiting we read the free local paper - brain eating ameoba in the hot springs killed a child recently.
They are planning to put up warning signs but not close the springs.
They were also planning to kill all the tropical fish in the hot springs.

By 4pm both cabins were ready
The cabins are fantastic, they trucked them to Colter Bay from all over Jackson Hole

The rest of Colter Bay wasn't terribly exciting, especially compared to Jackson Lake.
The Native American exhibit at Colter Bay visitor center is one large room, not much to it.

We drove over to Jackson Lake Lodge, got food from the Pioneer Grill and then ate in the lobby to enjoy the view

After dinner we wandered around to find animals.
We couldn't see any elk from  the Lodge itself, which was disappointing.
 
We saw lots of buffalo from 1/2 mile away which is not very exciting
Saw a few pronghorn from 1/4 miles away which is also not very exciting
Saw 4 elk from a distance.
Saw a bear jam but no bear.

All in all not very good animal watching today.
