Robby and I woke up early, parking at Logan Pass fills up quickly.

Lake McDonald
As we approaced the Logas Pass parking lot it was clear that the Highline trail was closed as promised.
We arrived about 720am and it was over half full and filling rapidly.
As soon as we parked we saw a family of four bighorn sheep right next to lot.
I did not seriously consider hiking a closed trail, I figured the fines would be enormous.
We hiked the Hidden Lake trail instead.
Every time we've hiked this trail we've seen mountain goats close enough to pet.

For the first time ever, we did not see mountain goats very close to the Hidden Lake trail.
It was a pretty chillly morning.

And left this note.
We drove back to Lake McDonald Lodge and found Kathy and CJ in the first place we looked - Jammer Joe's dinner.

I found the Belton Chalet on Tripadvisor using the very shaky wifi at Apgar Village.
CJ got the Huckleberry Habanero Margarita - Spotted Bear Organic Agave spirit. lime. habanero. huckleberries.
The service, food, beverage, and classic music selection were all excellent.
The only odd thing was the we weren't served bread with dinner like nearly every other fine restaurant I've ever dined in.
Confit Duck Leg
caramel glazed carrots. black rice. foie gras jus.
cilantro. lime.
